Baba Israel is a long time educator who has worked across all ages with organisations such as BAM, Urban Word, Arts Horizons, and Colab. He holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard.
Baba Israel has been guest faculty at the Univeristy of Madison, NYU, Fordham, Hamshire College, Miami Dade Live Arts and Salford University.
He has spoken on panels and given keynotes at the State of the Arts Conference (UK), MC conference (Amsterdam), Harvard Colorlines conference, Live Lit Conference (UK), and TedX York.
Baba teaches masterclasses in Beatboxing, Emceeing, Spoken Word, Improvisational Theatre, Directing, and Music production. He also offers professional development in networking skills, youth leadership, and digital development.
Baba has taught internationally with Jazz at Lincoln Centre's Rhythm Road and the American Music Abroad program acting as a cultural ambassador for the US state Dept in South East Asia, Russia, Taiwan, Mauritius, The South Pacific, West Africa, and Turkey.
Baba Israel has been faculty on Hip Hop Theatre intensives Process (Manchester) and the Surgery (London) and directed Community Arts Programs with the Bardavon Theatre, Mahaiwe Theatre, New World Theatre, and The Melbourne Arts Centre.
